For most people on site the qualification is not the point — the CSCS card is. If you have got as far as searching "write my construction NVQ" or "pay someone to do my site management portfolio", it is usually one of three things: photos with nothing written under them, evidence pitched a level too low, or an assessor who cannot get through the gate. A construction NVQ is a competence qualification assessed at work, not in a classroom. There is no exam — an assessor gathers evidence from jobs you are already doing, usually through the OSAT route, and judges you against national occupational standards. Everyone on site still says NVQ; the framework behind it is the RQF, which replaced the QCF in 2015.
And the reason most people do one: the CSCS card. Level 2 supports Blue, Level 3 supports Gold, and Levels 6 and 7 support Black. Register on the wrong level and the evidence comes back for months before anyone mentions the card you cannot now apply for.

He registered on Level 3 Occupational Work Supervision to get the Gold card his contractor now wanted on the framework. Four months in, three units kept coming back. His evidence was detailed, accurate and entirely about blockwork — gauge, perp joints, cavity trays, DPC. All good Level 2 material. His assessor kept writing the same note: this evidences your trade, not your supervision.
A writer who has held the same qualification spent forty minutes going through his week rather than his wall. The morning he sent two lads off a scaffold that had been altered overnight. The re-sequence when a mortar delivery failed and he moved the gang onto a different plot. The toolbox talk he gave after a near miss with a telehandler.
